In the event organised in cooperation with Mustafakemalpaşa Vocational School and YGZ Informatics Company and within the scope of the career planning course, CPA Dr Alper Erdem gave a seminar on 'Accounting with Digital and Artificial Intelligence'. Addressing how accounting processes have evolved in the digitalising world and the effects of artificial intelligence applications in this field, Dr Erdem shared with the students how accountants and financial advisors can adapt to this technological transformation. Referring to the advantages offered by artificial intelligence in the accounting sector today, such as automation and data analytics, Erdem emphasised the importance of future accountants to keep up with this transformation and the problems experienced by those who could not adapt in the past.
Another noteworthy topic in Dr Alper Erdem's presentation was the information he provided on the functioning of the Kalfa platform. Kalfa was introduced as a platform offering digital accounting and financial consultancy solutions. The ease of use of the platform, its structure that accelerates financial processes and Dr Erdem's experiences on this platform were met with great interest by the students. The practical solutions offered by Kalfa and the details of how these solutions accelerate the transformation in accounting processes aroused curiosity among the seminar participants.
The event guided the students academically and in terms of understanding the effects of accounting and digital technologies on the business world. During the question-answer session, which took place in an interactive environment throughout the seminar, students directed their questions to Dr Erdem about digital accounting and the innovations brought by artificial intelligence to the sector. Dr Erdem gave advice that shed light on the student's future careers and drew attention to how to make a difference in the financial advisory profession with the correct and effective use of technology.
